On Sunday (January 27), Billy Ray Cyrus broke his silence following his son Trace’s recent posts on Instagram where he pleaded for his dad to get help. Cyrus shared a music video on YouTube for his 2009 song, “Somebody Said a Prayer.” The clip features footage of a young Trace, whom Billy Ray adopted in 1993 after marrying his now ex-wife, Tish Cyrus. “Sunday callin,” the country star captioned the video. “Giving thanks for the California Rain . Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children … sons and daughters…and their mother. Let this moment be the start of healing ❤️‍🩹 for us all. ‘The past does not equal the future.’ Amen 🙏🏼” On two Instagram posts over the past week, Trace has pleaded with his dad to “get help,” writing “We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.
